It is easy to be transparent when you have nothing to hide.
“If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.”
Dr. Charles Randquist, Founder of Victoriakliniken.
Planning
A well-planned operation means that the surgeon carefully examines the patient’s physical conditions before the procedure. Finding a balance between patients’ desires and biological factors, and setting the bar at the right level, is not always easy. Therefore, it is very important that the surgeon is experienced and has operated on many different types of patients. When it comes to breast augmentation, for example, it is essential to select the right implant from among thousands of different options regarding size and shape, as well as to determine how these should be placed in the body in the best way relative to the unique patient’s conditions.

Overnight stay – a given for us and a reassurance for you.
At Victoriakliniken, at least one overnight stay is always included after breast surgery and other major procedures. This allows us to closely monitor our patients and ensure everything is in order before they are sent home. Unlike many others, we do not work on a “production-line” model, but instead prioritize quality over quantity.
To maintain the highest possible safety standards, our surgical team at Victoriakliniken operates only every other week. We never perform two surgeries at the same time, and there are always at least two specialized plastic surgeons on-site who consult with each other as needed.
“That it is not a given at all clinics to allow patients to stay overnight after a major procedure is incomprehensible.”
Dr. Jessica Gahm
Always by your side
Our deep commitment to each patient doesn’t end after surgery. On the contrary, we continue to support our patients long after, for both their benefit and ours. The thorough follow-up of every patient is as much about providing reassurance and ensuring a good result as it is about documenting and reviewing outcomes to continuously refine and improve our methods — something we’ve been doing for over two decades
We also understand how important it is for patients to maintain close contact with their surgeon after returning home, especially in the immediate post-operative period. We offer direct access to both nurses and surgeons following surgery, along with regular follow-up appointments and the best post-operative care available. Our patients are welcome to as many follow-up visits as they need or wish after surgery, at no additional cost.
Natural results that enhance your quality of life
Victoriakliniken’s aesthetic hallmark is natural beauty. We always strive for safe, proportional, and long-lasting results. Working proportionally means carefully considering the patient’s unique biological characteristics by measuring, analyzing, and thoroughly examining their skin and tissue.
The safest surgery is the one that is not performed. If we assess that a patient is not suitable for surgery, either for physical or psychological reasons, we will say so. Saying no is the most important quality of a surgeon.
Victoriakliniken has the largest gallery of before-and-after photos in the Nordics.
“Your body is priceless. Carefully consider if you want to make a change and: make sure you choose the right clinic from the start.”
Dr. Charles Randquist, Founder of Victoriakliniken.
A harmonious environment that minimizes stress for the patient.
We have created a safe, warm, and harmonious environment where both body and soul can be at ease without stress, with a focus on achieving safe, natural results and putting the patient at the center.
Our goal is for this environment, combined with our philosophy and the best possible personal service, to meet and hopefully exceed your expectations. Risks and complications are minimized thanks to our thorough documentation, statistics, and follow-up, as well as our plastic surgeons who publish scientific articles, chapters in textbooks, and are part of one of the leading teams in the world.
Our aim is to achieve a harmonious and proportionate beauty that meets your expectations, through high competence, modern technology, and a sense of aesthetics.
Follow-up and good aftercare are of utmost importance for the final result.
After the operation, we closely monitor our patients as we thoroughly assess, discuss, and document the results with before-and-after photos. Follow-up and documentation of the results are very important for both the patient and us to ensure, develop, and refine our surgical techniques. All our further development is based on the vast amount of data we have collected over several decades. Therefore, we monitor our breast patients for 10 years after the operation, and we include a warranty for complications, which is valid for 5 years. If, for example, a capsular contracture occurs during that period, we will re-operate on the patient at no cost.
Patients receive assistance with aftercare and clear guidelines for what happens after the surgery. They have access to a surgeon and nurse 24/7 following their procedure, with continuous support and monitoring throughout the healing process. We always call our patients before and after their surgery to check in with them and answer any questions that may arise.
Dr. Charles Randquist:
“When I decided to open my own clinic, it was a given for me to ensure and guarantee the quality of a practice where our patients could feel safe and secure. I made sure that my staff had the right training and experience. Our anesthesiologists are senior physicians from the Thoracic Anesthesiology department at Karolinska Hospital with extensive experience. Similarly, our anesthetic nurses are also highly qualified. This is to ensure optimal and safe monitoring of our patients. It was, of course, a given that we would have safe and high-quality anesthesia and monitoring equipment for the team, as well as the option for our patients to stay overnight for 1-3 nights.
Since I opened the clinic, we have maintained a high standard with established routines that we continuously quality assure to ensure patient safety, quality, and well-being.
My goal has always been to meet our patients’ needs before, during, and after the procedure itself, to create a safe and secure environment for our patients with guarantees and ongoing follow-up. I am incredibly proud that our patients’ safety during their stay with us is guaranteed and optimized by the expertise of Victoriakliniken’s staff.
Victoriakliniken has stood for safety and security for 24 years, and our goal is always to create natural and proportionate results with the least risk of complications.
What should you consider when choosing a surgeon or clinic?
First and foremost, you should consider what you want to do – and why. Are you doing the procedure for your own sake? Are you absolutely sure that you really want to make a change? Surgery always carries a risk, regardless of how skilled the surgeons are or how healthy the patient is.
If you’ve gotten this far, meaning you’re reading this text, you’ve likely progressed quite a bit in your thought process. However, it never hurts to reconsider your decision even further. Once you’ve decided to undergo a procedure, there are many different factors to consider when choosing a clinic.
Below is a list of things we believe are important to investigate and consider:
Checklist for Those Considering a Surgical Procedure:
- First and foremost: Do the surgeons and other medical staff have the right qualifications? Are they all licensed and specialized in plastic surgery, to begin with? Unfortunately, this is not always a given.
- Does the clinic have a good reputation? Google reviews, check Reco, look at before-and-after photos, and ask around in your network. You can also contact the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to find out if there have been any complaints against the clinic or plastic surgeon.
- Make sure you are well-informed about the risks and complications. A reputable clinic will thoroughly inform you about these and will also present such information on their website.
- What does the aftercare look like? Will you be able to stay overnight? Can you have direct contact with your plastic surgeon after returning home? A good clinic experiences few complications and, therefore, has no issue offering free corrective procedures and long-term, comprehensive follow-up care for its patients. This can, in other words, be a good indicator of the clinic’s quality.
- Also, carefully consider your wishes and expectations for the results. Think about the entire process – from the initial consultation to aftercare and follow-up.
“The biggest change isn’t visible on the outside.”
