About the Treatment
Cosmetic tattooing is a treatment primarily performed to restore symmetry and aesthetics, commonly after cancer treatment, but also to conceal scars, as well as for hair loss and alopecia. To create the most natural result possible, micropigmentation is performed using individually selected pigments that are tailored to the patient’s skin color and the specific area of the body. The pigment color is applied to the outer layers of the skin, which distinguishes permanent micropigmentation from a regular tattoo. The pigment colors used are based solely on natural ingredients, and the result is permanent.
Cosmetic tattooing is performed in the following cases:
• Scar camouflage after an accident
• Reconstructive micropigmentation for cancer patients
• Scar camouflage around the nipple after breast surgery or in cases of necrosis
• Scalp micropigmentation (for partial or total hair loss) and on the face (thickening of the beard, eyelashes, eyebrows, or for alopecia)
Monika Osinska – our specialist at Victoriakliniken
We are very proud and excited to have started a collaboration with one of the leading professionals in the field. Monika Osinska has extensive experience in medical and aesthetic micropigmentation as well as skin treatments and is internationally recognized. She has a master’s degree in permanent makeup and also conducts training in this field.
Her solid background in cosmetic tattooing/micropigmentation, combined with an exceptional aesthetic sense, has led to a number of international nominations. In 2019, she was nominated for the “The Rising Star Award” at The Scalp Micro Pigmentation International Conference Meeting of Minds in London. She was also nominated for the title of “The Best International Technique” at the SMP International Conference Meeting of Minds 2020. In 2019, she was invited to The World of Micropigmentation with the theme “Man’s World” as a speaker and to perform SMP – scalp and eyebrow micropigmentation technique – live.
In 2021, Monika’s work was highlighted on SVT1. Comedian Jonathan Rollins spoke about his hair loss issues and how satisfied he was with the SMP results performed by Monika.
Before Treatment
The following is important to consider before the treatment:
• Do not drink strong coffee, tea, or other types of energy drinks.
• Avoid alcohol two days before the treatment, as it increases the risk of bleeding.
• Avoid blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin).
The following is important to consider the day before the treatment:
• Avoid sunbathing (including tanning beds).
• Do not undergo any cosmetic or aesthetic treatments that cause skin shedding on your face.
• Do not have a facial laser treatment.
After Treatment
After the treatment, you should consider the following:
- Avoid swimming and saunas.
- Wait for seven days before exercising, as sweat increases the risk of infection due to the high salt content. This can also result in the color pigments healing to a lighter shade than expected.
- Avoid tanning beds for at least one month. After that, use sunscreen to protect the pigments from UV radiation and reduce the risk of fading the tattoo. In some cases, the pigment may become up to 50% lighter than the desired result.
- Avoid direct sunlight.
- Do not scratch the treated area. Scratching may remove the pigment and increase the risk of infection.
- Apply Bepanthen ointment twice daily.
- Wash the area with sterile water (boiled and cooled water) every two hours the day after the treatment. Cleaning is important to remove the fluid secreted by the skin that forms scabs over the treated area.
Possible Complications
Can complications arise?
As long as you maintain proper hygiene after the treatment, cosmetic tattooing is almost completely risk-free. Directly after the treatment, there may be some swelling and redness for a few hours. It may also itch during the healing process, which is completely normal.
What happens if something goes wrong?
The risk of something going wrong is almost non-existent. We carefully draw everything before the treatment, so the patient can calmly approve the color and shape.
What about allergies?
Allergic reactions to permanent makeup are extremely rare.

We have chosen not to have a fixed price list as each patient is unique with unique conditions. With us, in addition to the cost of the surgery itself, anesthesia, medication, follow-up visits, compression garments, and in most cases, at least one overnight stay after the procedure, are included.
Almost all prices are shown including VAT, as all procedures and treatments, except those performed for medical reasons, have been subject to VAT since the beginning of 2014/2015.
