Victoriakliniken_Cica_analys

The CICA test evaluates your genetic risk for celiac disease (gluten intolerance), IBS, and Crohn’s disease. When combined with an ALCAT test, it can also assess how your immune system reacts to more than 500 other foods, including gliadin, casein, and whey.

A comprehensive genetic assessment

The CICA test is a comprehensive assessment that analyzes genetic predisposition, detects specific antibodies, and measures potentially inflammatory cellular reactions through a simple blood sample.

When can a CICA test be beneficial?

  • For gastrointestinal issues and autoimmune disorders that may indicate problems with gluten.
  • For have increased intestinal permeability, which has been associated with autoimmune disorders and various other diseases.

  • For suspected celiac disease or Crohn’s disease.
  • For symptoms of IBS, including diarrhea, bloating, or cramps.
  • For chronic fatigue.
  • Vid malabsorption och / eller näringsbrist
  • For unexplained symptoms such as unintentional weight loss or skin rashes.

The prevalence of gastrointestinal diseases:

  • 2 out of 5 Swedes are affected by gastrointestinal diseases in Sweden.
  • Up to 2% of adults in Sweden suffer from ulcerative colitis.
  • Up to 1% of the population shows symptoms of celiac disease.
  • 15% of the population in the Western world suffers from digestive issues and constipation.

“Imagine gluten consumption on a spectrum. At one end, you have people with celiac disease who cannot tolerate even a trace of gluten in their diet. At the other end, you have those fortunate individuals who can eat pizza, pasta, and bread without experiencing any negative effects. In the middle lies a large gray area with various types of gluten reactions, including gluten sensitivity.”

Price

We have chosen not to have a fixed price list, as each patient is unique with individual needs. In most cases, it’s only during the consultation that we can determine, together with you, which procedure(s) will be best to achieve a beautiful final result. With us, in addition to the surgery cost, anesthesia, medications, follow-up visits, compression garments, and bras are included, as well as, in most cases, at least one overnight stay after the surgery.

In general, all prices are shown including VAT, as all procedures and treatments, except those performed for medical reasons, have been subject to VAT since the turn of the year 2014/2015. In cases where the price is listed excluding VAT, it is because these procedures are always performed on a medical basis. (Prices below include VAT)
